  We visited First Baptist of Bar Harbor's Sunday morning service while on vacation with our 2 year-old and 3-month old. It was a full house so try to come early to have your choice in seating--also to find parking. The worship had standard modern songs with a few good classics. There is a drum set but its sound isn't overwhelming. The church seems to be actively engaged in the community and in missions. They use a contemporary version of the Bible (NIV or ESV, I think?).
  
  The main reason I gave 5 stars was for the pastor's preaching. If you want to hear uncompromising, Bible-based preaching, this is your place. A rare gem in this modern world. He isn't afraid to speak the truth (in love, of course). Makes us wish we lived in Maine so we could hear it every week.
  
  The nursery was safe and had plenty of toys for any age of little one. The nursery worker was kind and caring. They have a vibrating beeper system so they can page you if your child needs you. Bring a snack and drink for your little--as it seems that is how sack time works there.
